Welcome to your daily Brain Nudge. I'm so excited that you decided to partake in this 10-day experiment. I'm Jess DuBose, and I'm an ADHD coach, and I wanted to just share with you a little bit about what to expect on this journey.
So you'll get a text message every day as long as it's Monday through Friday. We're not going to do extra work on Saturday and Sunday. You get to keep your weekends. So you get a little text message and it's going to give you a tip, something to help you with your ADHD. And it's going to give you an invitation to try something.
And it's going to be bite-sized, because in general, the first 10% and the last 10% tend to be the hardest parts for an ADHD-er. And so we want to do the most basic, easy step of those things. So that's why it's called “Your Daily Brain Nudge.” It's just inviting you to do something small, but something that you can actually do in the moment.
And then within the text message with that tip and the try this for today, there'll be a link to go to a page that'll give you a little voice note just like this. So you can listen to me tell you a little story about it and have a little invitation in that way. So you get to hear my voice and not just read a thing. And then you get to hear my encouragement and me talk about ADHD too.
And the way that it works is like there'll be a day one and day two will go together and day three and day four will go together because it takes time to implement new things. And so rather than having shame and judgment about forgetting to do the thing when you got it yesterday, it's just a gentle nudge to keep trying to do it today.
And I will love to hear how it goes for you. So feel free to text me back. I am a human on the other side of these texts and I will get them and I will probably respond. So share with me what's happening for you, what your insights are, the things that you tried. I would love to celebrate with you.
